Reliance Industries contributes Rs 1,185 cr to CSR initiatives in FY22

Diversified conglomerate Reliance Industries contributed Rs 1,184.93 crore to support a number of needs-based and impactful corporate social responsibility initiatives in FY22.

The CSR initiatives were spearheaded by the Reliance Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Reliance Industries, led by the foundation’s founder and president Nita M. Ambani.

Work included areas such as rural transformation, health, education, disaster response as well as sports for development initiatives.

Most importantly, its Covid-19 response to support the nation and people, was deployed across five missions, continued to rotate and scaled up throughout the year, based on urgent and emerging needs, including Mission Oxygen and Mission Vaccine Suraksha.

Reliance Foundation scholarship athletes have achieved outstanding performances at national and international events, winning 28 medals in all.
