Buffy Parker and Henny Smith set up Parker Fine Art Auctions in Farnham, Surrey in 2020. The pair had worked together at auction house John Nicholson’s for around five years prior to that.
Parker, who started at Bonhams as a porter in 1973, had previously run his own art dealership in Hampshire for 30 years, while Smith started her career at Sotheby’s as an archivist in 1998 in the British pictures department and also previously worked at Tennants auctioneers.
